Happy Birthday Carterbug!

Yesterday was a perfect day.  We had tornado warnings and the power was out one street over, but despite the weather scare everyone showed up to show their love for Carter.  It stopped raining and the sun was shining an hour into his party, which was fantastic!  I am 100% sure that my little boy is the most loved little boy ever.  We are so thankful for all of the many friends and family members we have in our life that love our little boy!  Pictures speak louder than words for a first birthday............................

I can't believe I have a 1 year old!!!!!!  I found myself all day yesterday saying this time last year this was happening (ok I did that alot).  It just really feels like it just happened yesterday.  I started having contractions the night before through the whole afternoon the next day.  I remember pushing and I remember seeing that beautiful little face for the first time.  He took my breath away, knowing that he was my little boy was such an amazing feeling.  I remember the way he smelled and I remember what it felt like to hold him for the very first time...nothing like it!  I remember this feeling of accomplishment, a dream of having a perfect little boy in my arms had finally came true!  I remember not caring about a silly diagnosis but just about caring for this precious angel.  He was mine, all mine and boy does he make me happy!  What a wonderful year it has been little boy, you continue to make me proud.  I love you with everything in me and can't wait to see what this next year has in store for you!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARTERBUG!!!!!!!!!!
